In order to prevent problems on separation, couples may wish to enter into a pre or post nuptial agreement.
A prenuptial agreement is a contract that is entered into before a marriage or civil partnership. Prenuptial agreements give couples the autonomy to regulate the finances both within their marriage and to define what will happen should it come to an end.
Whilst pre or postnuptial contracts or agreements are not absolutely binding in England, the court will seek to uphold the contract provided it is not tainted by unfairness. A court awarding one party different or greater provision is not, in itself, unfair. At St Pauls Chambers, we have experience of preparing pre and post nuptial agreements to protect your assets on the breakdown of the marriage or civil partnership.
Chambers is centrally located within walking distance of the train station, secure car parks and the Courts.
