Established in 1982 by ten founding members primarily practising in criminal law and regulatory law our chambers has developed over the last four decades into the highly sophisticated legal enterprise it is today.

In order to understand the world in which our clients operate, we take a broad view of how our barristers should be involved in the wider community. In addition to sitting as part-time judges and taking academic appointments in the areas in which they specialise, our barristers are involved with communal charities in their local communities, including volunteering as governors of schools, playing field associations, and youth movements.
Every barrister at St Pauls has also offered their services to the Bar Pro Bono Unit and the Free Representation Unit.
