Members of St Pauls Chambers advise and represent parents, schools, local authorities and multi-academy trusts (MATs) in relation to challenges to admissions and exclusion decisions.
We advise schools and MATs in relation to their Admissions policies and the application of the Admissions Code, and represent parents at admissions appeal hearings.
We provide equivalent services in relation to exclusions decisions, and represent parents and schools at Governors’ reviews and Independent Review Panel hearings and in disability discrimination proceedings before the First-Tier Tribunal (SEND).
Appeals are for parents who feel as though their children – or a child they know – have been unfairly denied admission or excluded from the education system.
We are here to reassure you that there are processes in place to protect the right of children in situations such as these.
If the case comes down to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), then a discriminatory case may be the best course of action. St Pauls Chambers are able to help advise in these circumstances.
