James Lake, instructed by the crown prosecution service has secured convictions for two defendants charged with serious firearms offences.
Frances Pencheon was instructed to represent a Respondent in committal to prison proceedings following family proceedings. The case was heard at the Leeds county court sitting as the High court. Frances successfully argued that the sentence of imprisonment should be suspended.
Philip Standfast, Instructed by the CPS has secured convictions for a defendant charged with serious sexual offences.
Kristina Goodwin on the first day and Temitayo Oguntade on the second day have helped to keep a defendant who was charged with his second breach of his suspended sentence order out of custody. Not sure if it will be third time lucky but he will stand a good chance with either of our two on his side
And finally, as we are “Sailing” towards a long weekend….
Nigel Edwards client has avoided custody after admitting destroying model railways. The defendants caused over £30,000 worth of damage. This is the case where Rod Stewart donated £10,000 of his own money to a just giving page set up to compensate the victims of the damage. Rod Stewart hasn’t been approached for comment but we imagine that he would say “I don’t want to talk about it “ but “Every Picture tells a story”
