Bryan Cox KC has been instructed this week to represent a defendant charged with Murder. Bryan is instructed by Redfearn’s Solicitors in Heckmondwike and will be leading Mr Richard Canning from 39 Park Square Chambers. The trial will be heard at Leeds Crown Court later in the year.
Simon Myerson KC has been instructed by John Delaney’s solicitors to represent a man charged with Murder, the case is to be heard at Leeds Crown Court later in the year and is due to last three weeks.
Nicholas Worsley has this week received a new instruction for a case where the defendant is charged with Death by Dangerous Driving. Nick is instructed by Roy foreman Solicitors and the case will be heard at Lincoln Crown court.
Ayesha Smart has represented a defendant this week who pleaded guilty at the lower courts to multiple counts of fraud against their employer totalling thousands of pounds. Following Ayesha’s mitigation and notwithstanding the case before Ayesha’s, which was similar and resulted in immediate custody, the defendant received a sentence of suspended imprisonment and unpaid work.
Simon Myerson KC has this week been prosecuting in a murder trial at Leeds that Bryan Cox QC defends. Following the trial commencing on Monday, the defendant changed his plea to one of guilty to Manslaughter. The defendant received a custodial sentence of five and a half years.
Richard Barraclough KC has just secured convictions in a county lines murder trial he has been prosecuting. The defendants received combined sentences totalling 84 years. The case has been reported extensively in the media and you can read more about it here
Ayesha Smart has been successful in her application to be placed on the Crown Prosecutions Specialist Panels 2018-22 list for Serious Crime at level 3.
