After a trial lasting 26 days at Sheffield Crown Court, Andrew Stranex instructed by Eric Watson at Watson Woodhouse Solicitors has had not guilty verdicts returned against his client. His client had been charged with fraudulent evasion of duty totalling over £10,000,000. The case involved 14 defendants who were all jointly charged with offences relating to non-duty paid cigarettes and rolling tobacco.

Following appeal at the court of appeal in London before Sir Brian Leveson, Mr Justice Stuart-Smith & Mr Justice Jeremy Baker, Mr Myerson’s client had his conviction for Gross Negligence Manslaughter quashed.
