Following a 14 weeks trial Nigel. R. Edwards QC, in his first trial in Silk, secures the only Not Guilty verdicts on national and international multi handed allegations of missing trader, £100m plus, Vat cheating and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Mr. Edwards QC led his Junior Nigel Hedley, of Hedley’s Solicitors Blyth, was instructed by Solicitor David Harbron and his assistant solicitor Jonathan Hanratty;
and was advised by forensic accountant Tim Keeling of Inquesta Forensics Manchester.
This was a very complex case with dozens of companies, 54,000 pages of used evidence and hundreds of thousands of pages of Unused material.
The defendant was alleged to be one of the main players, and was proven categorically not to be.
A positive defence was asserted and run from first arrest and consummate representation at the police station, all the way through to the warbling utterances of Mr. Edwards at the end.
