What is Tax Law?
Tax Law is an integral component of every personal, corporate and commercial dealing. Because of this, it is seen as a crossover service, which means that it is associated with almost every other aspect of legal work.
Tax Law with St Pauls Chambers
St Pauls Chambers advise in all areas of tax law. Members of Chambers act for companies, individuals and HMRC in proceedings before the Tax Tribunal and the Chancery Division, including cases concerning:

- Decisions of the Revenue and Customs Commissioners

Examples of cases undertaken:
- Foulser v HMRC: Simon Myerson QC led Hannah Lynch in a two-week case before the Upper Tribunal (Tax) regarding evasion of capital gains tax and the true value of an unlisted company. This involved expert evidence for the Appellants and HMRC.
- HMRC v A.H. Ltd: Hannah Lynch Represented the Respondents in a their claim against HMRC for retrospective removal of tax relief claimed under the Enterprise Investment Scheme.
- HMRC v Cade: Hannah Lynch represented HMRC as Respondent in the First-Tier Tribunal (Tax) in an appeal against the decision of the Revenue and Customers commissioners made under s139 of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979.
