Health and Safety Regulations Advice
Civil work: Our health and safety lawyers give proactive health and safety advice in areas including:
- Dangerous substances and DSEAR. Our civil lawyers deal with dangerous ingredients in food, harmful components in products, and we have more than one asbestos lawyer.
- Fire safety legislation, arising from day to day activity and from work with fireworks or explosives.
- Systems of work, provision of clothing and PUWER legislation.
- ATV accidents, arising from agricultural and leisure use, including lack of helmets and exposure to pesticides.
- Fairgrounds and entertainment, often involving regulations dealing with electrical supply and wiring.
- Ionising radiation, including considerations of justification, risk assessment and medical exposure.
- Accidents in Mines, quarries and on railways.
- Workplace transport safety. About 15 transport accidents happen in the UK each day.
- Construction including working at heights.
- Lifting and LOLER.
- Risk assessment.
- Highway safety, including repair and obstruction as well as auto accident injuries.
- Compensation claims from health and safety cases are frequently suitable cases in which to instruct the barrister direct. St Pauls has a large number of direct access barristers able to assist on an urgent basis.
