James Lake successfully represents national waste management company at Public Inquiry

James Lake was instructed to represent one of the UK’s largest on-demand waste management companies with a turnover of over £20 million. The company was called to a Public Inquiry after a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) inspection revealed multiple failings in its maintenance systems.

James prepared the case for the Inquiry, held before the Traffic Commissioner, and made detailed submissions in respect of any regulatory action the company should face.

Avoiding Revocation of Company Licence

Despite the Traffic Commissioner initially indicating he was considering revocation of the company’s licence, James successfully persuaded the Traffic Commissioner that the company could be trusted moving forward to continue its transport operation. The Traffic Commissioner, having hearing submissions, decided a short curtailment of a single vehicle was  the proportionate regulatory action.

James represents large organisations all over England and Wales who have been called by the Traffic Commissioner to attend Public Inquiry’s for failings in their transport operations.

Please email Matthew Taylor or call him on 01132270706 if you wish to instruct James Lake.
