We are delighted to announce the expansion of our criminal team with the addition of two junior counsel under 5 years’ call. Beatrice Allsop joins the team to develop her practice, prosecuting and defending in in the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court.
Oliver Norman started with us on Monday 9th October 2023. Oliver will also support the Junior team under 5 years’ call and develop his practice, prosecuting and defending in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. His first week has seen him successfully secure an acquittal on all counts for a defendant facing charges of controlling or coercive behaviour, suffocation, multiple assaults by beating, and assault on emergency worker. His strategic approach and meticulous preparation were key in addressing the prosecution’s issues effectively.
We look forward to offering Beatrice and Oliver the support and opportunities needed to build a successful career at the Bar.
