Practice Overview
Kristina has a busy mixed practice and accepts instructions in a range of criminal, prison and civil matters as well as inquests. Kristina is hard – working and client – focused; she provides straightforward advice and effective representation.
Kristina joined chambers in September 2018 following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Alasdair Campbell. Prior to commencing pupillage, Kristina was an Independent Advocate for Looked After Children for a national charity.

AREAS OF PRACTICE
Crime
Kristina regularly prosecutes and defends in the Crown Court in cases involving sexual offences, dishonesty, domestic violence, offences against the person, driving offences, drugs offences and appeals. Kristina is a Grade 2 Prosecutor.
Kristina is a sought-after junior on large and complex cases. She was junior defence counsel to Helen Chapman in April 2019 in an eight-week trial heard at Hull Crown Court involving a defendant charged with multiple counts of rape by six complainants. In September 2019, Kristina was briefed by Trading Standards as disclosure junior in prosecutions involving secondary ticketing offences.
In November 2020 Kristina was instructed as junior counsel to Samuel Green QC prosecuting a woman charged with murder. Following consideration of voluminous medical evidence, a plea of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility was accepted. In June 2021 Kristina was junior defence counsel to Jason Pitter QC, acting for the youngest of five defendants charged with murder in a four – week trial at Hull Crown Court.
Kristina recently successfully argued against the imposition of a 7 – year minimum term for a third strike defendant charged with the supply of Class A drugs; the court sentenced the defendant to 48 months in custody.
Civil
Kristina has considerable experience in a number of areas, including personal injury, credit hire, landlord and tenant and contractual disputes. Kristina routinely appears in the County Court on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants in trials, disposals, applications, small claims hearings and CCMC’s. Kristina frequently advises on and drafts pleadings in personal injury and contractual matters.
After University, Kristina worked as a Paralegal specialising in Industrial Disease where she gained extensive knowledge of complex high – value multi-track work for over two years and subsequently as a County Court Advocate, she appeared daily in District Judge’s Chambers on a variety of small claims and civil applications.
Prison Law
Kristina regularly appears at Adjudication and Parole Board hearings. She is instructed to represent prisoners serving life or determinate sentences, as well as prisoners who have been recalled.
Inquests
Kristina appears for bereaved families and public authorities in Domestic and Article Two inquests. Kristina provides advice and representation from initial contact with the coroner, disclosure, pre – inquest review hearings and final hearings. In 2018 Kristina appeared in a highly publicised Article Two inquest in Norwich. Kristina was instructed by the family of the deceased, who was struck and killed by the police vehicle responding to the emergency call to locate her.
