Corey Boothe

Corey Boothe commenced a common law pupillage in September 2024, under the supervision of Miss Danielle Graham

Throughout his legal studies, Corey excelled in examinations, earning awards for outstanding performance and contributions to the Law School. Beyond academics, Corey actively participated in extracurricular activities, notably representing Northumbria University as a semi-finalist in the annual Medical Law Moot in Leicester.

Corey is committed to making a meaningful impact on vulnerable communities and has obtained significant experience providing pro-bono legal assistance. As a student advisor for both the Citizens Advice Bureau and Support Through Court, he assisted litigants in person facing legal challenges in Civil and Family matters.

Since graduating from University Corey developed a diverse civil practice as a County Court Advocate. This role covered a broad range of claims including Debt Enforcement, Mortgage Repossessions, Landlord and Tenant Disputes, Bankruptcy Proceedings, Road Traffic Accidents, Infant Approvals, Trials, Interim Applications and matters on the Official Injury Claim portal. Regarded as a senior advocate, Corey has acted in over 1000 hearings since 2021 and frequently mentored new recruits in their training.

In addition to Civil Litigation, Corey gained a wide variety of experience in Family and Criminal Law through two competitive internships. Following being one of the highest-scoring applicants in each competition, he was selected for both schemes. During his internship with 10KBI, Corey spent six weeks on circuit across four Chambers and the CPS. Later, as the Court of Appeal intern, he spent a week marshalling Lord Justice Peter Jackson, observing a complex appeal involving the consent requirements within the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008
