Anne Marie Gregory
Chambers are especially proud of the years of practice that Miss Gregory has devoted to this area of law, her knowledge and expertise is second to none. Anne Marie is noted for her defence of complex RSPCA prosecutions.
Ms Gregory is currently instructed to defend what is believed to one of the largest import and export cases concerning endangered species.
Anedote’s and cases to make you smile:
In 2001 represented two defendants who were accused of causing suffering to lizard. The RSPCA alleged that the defendants had killed the lizard and put it in the freezer. That being the case the RSPCA took the lizard from the freezer, put it on the dash board and drove off having cautioned the defendants. The lizard, as lizards do had simply gone to sleep duly woke up and came back to life whilst the RSPCA was driving back. Needless to say with Ms Gregory’s help the defendants were acquitted.
