St Pauls Chambers was established in 1982 in Leeds with ten founder members practising mainly in criminal law.  Since then, the demands made upon the Bar have seen chambers develop in so many ways to what is now a highly sophisticated legal enterprise.

Key Benefits of using St Pauls Chambers

You can trust the barristers to be on top of the law, providing all levels of advice and advocacy.  We pride ourselves on our ability to work as a team, sharing information and supporting each other.  Instructing any barrister at St Pauls means you not only have the benefit of that barrister, but the knowledge and experience of all other members who provide the support when needed.

The clerking team provides the first point of contact for all enquiries into St Pauls Chambers.  All enquiries will be handled in a professional and friendly manner.  Members of the clerking team have been part of St Pauls for many years and are well versed on all members of Chambers and their respective experience.  You can be certain you will receive the most appropriate information on all matters concerning counsel, fees and diary issues.

Members of Chambers now find themselves in many different types of courts and some members offer mediation services as an alternative to attending court.  St Pauls have good professional relationships with the court centres across the country and where possible we will assist all parties in making sure your case can be listed to suit your choice of counsel.  When appropriate we will encourage the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution.  At St Pauls we can provide all that is necessary to achieve a satisfactory resolution without the need to involve the court process.

Our policies provide comprehensive guidance on everything you may wish to know about the standards of service we offer at St Pauls including equal opportunities, client care, Quality Assurance and how we calculate our fees.

St Pauls in house technical support systems allows us to provide a modern and adaptive range of services to barristers, solicitors and clients.  We recognise the importance of having a significant presence online and we strive to develop new ideas to increase our profile.  We are a modern forward thinking Chambers with the technology to link us anywhere in the world.
